The wife and I ran home for Thanksgiving on Wednesday. We spent time with both families and much turkey was devoured by all. It got me thinking about how lucky I am to be in a situation where I love both my family and my in-laws. I think it is so odd now to see all jokes and media talking about horrid fother-in-law or the mother-in-law you can't stand and it is harder to appreciate those situations since I don't have to deal with it. My wife's family is cool and fun to hang around with. So, I suppose I am thankful for cool families.
This evening I have been putting off homework (which I am going to get back to once I finish this post) to work on the site design. I have been wanting to rework it for awhile and just have not gotten around to it or have been at school when the drive would hit me hardest. I don't think I am quite done with it, but I am content for now. All of the main pages got at least a little love either bringing them up to date or just moving a bit around. I plan on making a banner design of some sort. I might not play with the banner...I still have a couple of readers on dial-up. Examples for the rounded borders (which are not easy to do without images) came from CSS Play. I have modified them a lot, but the base code came from there. I am having a couple of issues in Internet Explorer 6 (imageine that) and I might try to adjust some of those, but I doubt it. So I guess that makes me thankful for Stu at CSS Play for the design and Opera and Firefox for being able to render things consistantly and correctly.
I am also thankful for my wife. She is cute, she gets me, and she lets me be who I am...and she knows how to gently remind me that I am not doing homework but that I should be.
