I am kinda bouncing between tired and wired. Anyways, since it has been a bit since my last post, I figured I would toss something useless up here. So, we will start with Friday. I waited to what seemed like the last minute (ok, had about 20 minutes to spare) to hit my lab for the week. As I was running out the door, i noticed that my student loan check was sitting in the mail. Yay, not poor for a while again! Now money changes things, so I decided I would use the 20 minutes to deposit the money in the bank. Even if the lines were long I should have plenty of time, right? Sure, unless you lock your keys in the car like an idiot, ie, I locked my keys in the car. First time since I was 19...dumb me, oh well. Luckily the wife was at only 4-5 blocks away. That does mean that I did not make lab, so my grade will suffer a little. Not a big deal, I should still be ahead of most of the class. I is cool. I instead spent the time playing more Vampire the Masquerade, so it is all good.
Saturday, more Vampire, but also a little preperation for Dungeons and Dragons. I got to play Dungeon Master *cough* exciting *cough*. I think the guys enjoyed. After the introduction of characters, the king sent them on a quest to find the court messenger, Fleet. He had been sent to deliver a message to a nearby town and had not been heard from for quite some time. The players were told that there was a large kobold camp (kobolds = bad) near the road to the town and that if Fleet was not in the town, they should check there. Well, they lost touch of the mission and slaughtered everything at the kobold camp, including, by accident, Fleet. So the first mission of the first session was a failure for the team. Next week we get to see how they pull out of it.
Sunday was a lay around and surf day, until around 6 when I decided that I needed to do my homework and needed supplies. We hit town around 6:15, and found out that EVERYTHING in this town closes at 6 on Sundays. We decided to make up for not getting any supplies by hitting The Outback. I barely touched my food, bleh. On the way home we ran to CVS, who oddly had everything I needed. I spent the next couple of hours working on a couple of workups and the "final" projects, all of which ended up being totally unacceptable. Apparently, when you give a class a set of instructions and the ENTIRE class gets it wrong (including those who wrote down the instruction word for word) it is not you who have the problem explaining, it is the students who are wrong. Of course, it does not help when some students are just totally wrong, lazy, and incompetent. Anyways, the assignment is due again next week...bleh.
Photography went well, I pulled off some of the highest marks on last weeks test/quiz spree. My lowest grade was a 94% and that got dropped. The pictures I took before clas seemed to come out ok. I really need to work harder on getting around to these projects sooner and to put more planning in them. Oh well, i will get there eventually. As for right now, I should be working on a Powerpoint presentation, but since the only way to make that enjoyable is to get some leeches to drain some blood so that I am light headed and not thinking straight...and there are none of those around, I figured I would post.
