Not About My Sick Wife - Music
Posted on: 2010-06-16 11:26:52

I am listening to Regina Spektor today instead of going to work. Ok, the wife is in one of her delirium episodes of sickness and I am sticking around to take care of her, but I am listening to Miss Spektor while she is sleeping. I discovered (and fell in love with) her on the Pandora internet radio service. I have been meaning to buy a couple of her albums for awhile now, and figured today was as a good a day as any (besides, smaller purchases keep me from making much larger ones).

I could sit here and wax intellectual about why I really enjoy her music, but I won't. I often have difficulty pinning down an explanation to why things pique my interest, but right now this is it.

Does she sing while sleeping?

I said this wasn't about my sick wife. :)

Have you gotten anything from your Amazon account? I bought something of higher value using your link and was wanting to know if it worked for you.

Back on the subject: I listened to one of the clips and couldn't tell if she was sleeping.

I will

The payment system is kinda funky. They check to see how much you have earned at the end of each month. If your account is over $20, then you get a check about 60 days later. Your two purchases will yield me about $24. Thanks! This will make my second check from Amazon.

Amusingly, checking my Google AdSense, which I have been running much much longer shows I have earned $24.88 from them. They don't send a check until I reach $50. Glad I never expected these services to be profitable. :)
