I don't remember the last time I actually healed a fight on my Paly, I have mostly been focusing on my mage. But last night at work, I was obsessed with writing macros. Although it isn't anything special, this is the one I came up with:
Macro: Big Heal #showtooltip Divine Favor /cast Divine Favor /cancelaura Divine Plea /use 13 /cast Holy Light
Line by line:
Divine Favor guarantees my next healing spell with crit (heal for 1.5x the norm).
Cancels Divine Plea if it is running. Plea is great for mana regen, but cuts healing in half.
use 13 triggers my Talisman of Resurgence, which ups my bonus healing by about 20% for 20 seconds.
Holy Light is my largest heal, and after using the previous three lines, it is set to be about as big as it can be.
I don't really raid much anymore, so having a guaranteed big heal isn't as big a deal. And with exception of some oh shit moments, I can really only think of one place where I will probably use it every time: the end of the gauntlet in Pit of Saron.
