Who Watches the Watchmen - Food - Movies - 1/5
Posted on: 2009-08-28 01:51:48

Well, hopefully nobody. But in case you did, and needed comfort after watching it like I did, this is for you. In case you are curious, I am not going into specifics about the movie since the person who loaned me the movie has yet to watch it. No spoilers here.

  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1.5 cups of steamed rice (prepared)
  • 1 can of tuna in vege oil
  • 2 tsp vege oil
  • 1 Tbspish Soy Sauce
  • Randoms amounts of salt, pepper, and ginger

Under a low heat, add the oil in a medium sized frying pan. Toss in the egg and kinda swirl it around as it cooks to make it as thin as possible and add a little salt and pepper. When the egg is almost done, toss in the rice, whatever seasoning you wanted, and the tuna. Grab a spoon or spatula or, I don't know, your hand if the movie was really painful, and mix all that up. Yes, you will be breaking the egg up in the process. Amp up the heat a little and cook for at least 2 minutes, stirring constantly. You should probably go for 4-5 minutes, but I practice the cook until you are bored method and I get bored easily...so at least 2.

Eat this with a good mug of coffee, and you will feel better. I do. That being said, I am planning on rereading the comic (that I didn't enjoy the first time) and then rewatching the movie. Maybe all this back and forth will reveal some deeply hidden theme that will make the world open up and everything will be right again. I am expecting a pornstars with tacos scenario again, but you never know.

Not sure how to take this. I guess I just need to make the time to watch it and make my own opinion.

I pretty much already knew I wasn't going to like it because I didn't like the comic it was based on, but I mentioned that to you while you were here. The movie itself was better than I expected, but I think that had more to do with the music choices than anything else.

Once = funny

Twice = ________ LOL —- taco quote. I'm with you 100% about the actual watchmen comic. Heck, I'm not even for sure I made it through it the first time and I probably won't ever pick it up again (no reason to lie)... LOL!

Someone gave me the DVD about 3 weeks ago, but I haven't had time to watch it. Now, I am not sure if I want too. I didn't read the comic, so I have nothing to compare it too. So, I probably will watch it.

I watch the Watchmen.

I recommend giving it a try, don't let these negative reviews sully your opinion before you watch it. Give it a fair chance, I personally liked both it and the graphic novel. The novel was much better, but the movie was pretty good. I don't know, I don't quite understand why someone wouldn't like it to be honest. I can understand not thinking it is great, but actually thinking it is bad is another thing altogether.
