I found my Bible. - Books
Posted on: 2008-10-02 12:33:48

So...we have been living here in Jasper for about a year, and there is one thing I have been missing. Ok, that is not true, there are a lot of things I have been missing...like Moggers, and 24 hour restaurants that are not Dennys. Anyways, I just found my Bible. Now I know what you are thinking, I am not really the Bible type. You are right, my beliefs don't require a book to show me how to behave and what to believe. Yes, that probably makes me a bad Christian, but it has been a very long time since I have claimed to be so I am not too worried.

But yes, I found it, and it filled me with glee that I found it. The wife and I tear through just about the entire house about once a month trying to find it and today I just sorta stumbled upon it. It is one of my Three Books and I find myself incredibly annoyed everytime I have to do a search online for something from the Bible. Now yes, we do have at least two other Bibles in the house. We got a big 'family' Bible when we were married and I have the Students edition Bible that I got from my Godmother for my confirmation. I am too sentimental about both to actually use them...and the Students edition is just the new testament and I tend to prefer the old.

Now I just have to find a place to put it where I won't lose it again.

Total side note: Just noticed after posting this that it is my 300th post since we switched to being hosted at BlueHost. First post here was on 2005-08-12, which means I average about a post every 4 days. I am lazy. :)

Interesting

It's very interesting to see my old comments, to your old posts, and to keep this going... I guess that means I'm getting old.

Three books?

What are the other two? Can you keep up with them? You would think that with the library background that Erin has that she would have three books organized.

Joe

Not really.

There are two things I could say about Erando keeping track of a bible in that house. 1#: She only keeps track of books she cares/uses. This isn't true since Erando uses for reference it, and therefore has some degree of caring. 2#: Erando has to use it frequently for her to really keep track of it. Since I have no fucking clue as to how often she uses it, I can't state that either. Anyways, have fun with your damn bible. If you could find anything about sacrificing goats. I know they have human sacrifices in there.
