Distracted as usual
Posted on: 2005-06-02 08:36:18, by talam

I have made zero progress on the rantfest since my last update. I am going to do some work today, but I doubt I will get much done. I really don't feel like doing anything. I am seriously thinking that sitting up is too much effort for me right now. I feel weak right now. You know, it feels like the the kinda weak you get the day after spending 20 minutes violently throwing up everything you ate for the past couple of days, don't rest, and eat anything to refil that huge void until the next day. Yeah, that weak. Not sure why...except I did all that. Speaking of, I am gonna go get food...brb

Well, I have managed to get two of the three or four things I wanted to get done in SWG done. I am now an Ace pilot and I got master Pistoleer. Now I just need to grind out some more faction to buy my last rank in the Imperial Army and figure out where I want to put my last few skill points...either Bounty Hunter or Artisan. Probably going to be Bounty Hunter for a while. I am still enjoying the quests and the new combat system so the extra damage would be nice. Once I cool down and focus on making money again I can switch over to Artisan for surveying.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but I was guilded within the last couple of weeks. They were a nice bunch of people but quiet as hell. I am the type of person who wants a talking guild. I could care less if I ever saw any of them, I just want to be able to chat some. No luck there, so I left them the day before yesterday. Which was good timing. I spent the majority of the later part of last nightin the Myyrdill Caves on Kashyyyk under the Dead Forest in the Klowir area with some guys from "One" (prepositional phrases = teh roXXXors). We killed NK-Necrosis which landed me a badge for one of the bigger story arcs they added with Rage of the Wookiees. NK-Necrosis = same robot type as Grevious from the Clone Wars cartoon and Star Wars Episode 3. Anyways, we killed him twice last night and I was invited back to join with them tonight. Looks like I might have a new guild soon. I am going to try and convince them to help me kill the mother bug thing tonight...whatever the hell it is. I have two quests to kill her: one from the village nurse...her last, and one for the village chief. I think it is his last mission, but he might send me after Necrosis as well. Once he is done I will have finished off all the non-crafter quests there...and it will be awhile before I even think about moving my skills around to do them. I think I am pushing 70 of the around 100 new quests.

It is so odd to think in terms of quests in SWG.

Ooh, funny idea

SWGEQ! The non-stop questing mixed with blasters! Fun fun! It would be pronounced "Swuh-GEK."

Star Wars quests, funny stuff.
Sounds like fun

Guild Wars went sour for me. My guild is boring, quiet, and makes jokes like a bunch of mormons. Also got my ass handed to me in just about every PvP I've tried. Healer = Main Target = Me. It sucks getting owned by a group of 12 year old korean kids... over and over. SWG sounds like fun, but I don't think I could handle THE GRIND again.
If you are thinking of playing...

You should hit Miller up...he recently started playing and could give you an idea about how bad the SWG grind is. Unless you are talking about Jedi, because that takes a minimum of like 6 months of hardcore playing. I am to the point again where the only grinding I can do is for jedi...and I have no interest in being a jedi.
Waiting

I think I'm gonna wait to see what comes out in the future. I'm curious about how City of Villains is going to improve City of Heros (which I heard was pretty lackluster overall) cause that looks like it'd be a lot of fun. I need to do some pretty serious hardware upgrades before (and if) I get into another MMO game.
sigh

I'll join SWG if Robomessiah does. BTW, nice pic of your clone trooper rolling around on a big pile of money Tom, didn't get a chance to tell you.
ones

Working for tips, you bring home a LOT of ones. Instead of cash them in every night, I mini-bank them on my desk into a large pile and figured the Imperial Troopers make pretty good money. I was drunk and took the money and threw it all over the floor and took the picture.
