No one but wookies where harmed in the making of this post.

You know, it is funny, the first thing I did when logged in was to see what I sold last night, not run to the planet of all that is evil and start killing things like crazy...WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING? Oh well, made about 5.03 mil last night. The 5 mil was from one sale (more money that me and the wife have had combined at any point in time) and the .03 mil was from about 10 other sales. Looks like I can afford the 2.3 mil for a good set of Imperial Scout armor now.

Anyways, the killing. I think I have only killed 30-40 wooks so far, quite a bit of fun. I have only done about 4 missions so far...I think they added around 100. I am starting to write down complaints/bugs so I can put something up on the forums for the Devs later...like having to do an escort a ship and protect it from the wookie resistance people but not being able to shoot any of them because they are flagged as non-combat NPCs. I just followed the ship closely hoping to get between it and the other ships so that their gunfire hit me instead of it. Oh well, I think my main focus is going to be on missions for awhile. There are a lot of new, spiffy weapons and I am trying to find one that is smuggler specific.

Since I don't think I have had a big pro-CU post, I will add one here. CU = Combat Upgrade = a lot of new fun. I know most of my listeners have played level based MMOs before so the new system will probably make more sense than the old one so I am not going to bore you with details. The new system just makes sense and is actually fairly close to being balance. Sure there are things that you could kill by yourself before that require at least a group of CL80s now...but these are things that are obviously not supposed to be easy to begin with. Armor is balanced now, and since it is balanced you see more of a variety of armor and not just different colored composite armor. Weapons have ranges that make sense, classes are fairly balanced, and you have to pay far more attention to combat because line of sight is important now.

Now, the non-SWG stuff. I modified my Links page a little...added Tom and Lushbaugh's pages and put names on all the Family/Friends links. Tom, it is called GUILD WARS for a reason: the point is to have GUILDs that have WARs with each other and it is hard to have warring guilds that don't attack each other...ie PVP centric game. Oh, and get like HaloScan so we can post stuff on your page. Oh, and are you dropping you LiveJournal page? Cause if not, I will probably link it as well.

Yeah, I know it's called Guild Wars, but heres the thing. You need to play thru the NORMAL game at least once (at about 60hours thru, and probably more than once to get a variety of things UNLOCKED) to play competitively in the PvP combat, and IMO, the normal game is lacking in a few ways. I don't care for the PvP stuff, so the whole idea irks me, and i'm hoping they fix the hell out of it in the next expansion.
Good deal!

I'm not scared to have my name on the Internet, I just prefer not to. There are many reasons, but primarily for historical. My father was an actor and I really prefer not being contacted by strangers about that aspect of my life. :) Oh, and it's an uppercase "T" and a lowercase "o" in TheBackofMyMind. :p
That is better.
